Ranking the Comfort of Yeezys I Own

Kanye West is clearly one of the leaders of the streetwear fashion space & that leadership is largely based on the popularity of his Yeezy sneaker line (mostly) through Adidas. Using technology like knit & Boost, along with unique designs & color options, Ye has created a significant footprint (no pun intended) in the sneaker community.

Though Jordan Brand is still number one, they are primarily a legacy brand. In addition to innovation, one of the driving qualities of Yeezy sneakers is its overall quality & comfort. It's why I own multiple pairs. In this video, I give my personal ranking of Yeezy models from least to most comfortable.

The intent of Model Ministry is to make men more confident & competent in their clothing choices, no matter the budget or style. To execute that idea, I've linked up with Matelli Graves , who is an excellent photographer & videographer (as well as one of my good friends) to create a lookbook around the fall season with four different styles.

I didn't spend over $30 for any piece of this outfit. I often tell ppl to check brick & mortar stores (especially Gap) because they often have steals available. The trench has a tiny hole & is missing the lining; it retailed for $150 but I got it for $25. The slacks were $12. The Levi's jacket was a gift from my friend @uriahrpo (aka the Denim Don). And the Pumas were from a 4th of July sale. Lots of pieces put together but the most authentically Fall.

The 3rd look is a little more layered. A perfect mix of hype & budget.

Supreme is a brand I have a love/hate relationship with. Many of their pieces are super tacky to me. But when they hit, they hit. And I'm a sucker for their photo tees. Mary J Blige's "What's the 411" is an iconic album. I bought the album for my sister. So I needed the shirt.

The jacket & pants are both from Gap. Again, Gap is my go-to for most basics, as they carry tall sizes & I've never paid full price for an item. The pink jacket is undefeated. It can be dressed up or down. It's lightweight & yet super warm. I recently embraced corduroy back into my closet. I've recently gained weight & have had to move away from skinny jeans. These are actually straight leg jeans. And I roll them up. If you're into pinrolling your pants, a tip is to get a shorter length than what you'd normally wear. If you have long legs, your pinroll is going to look really bunched up. But a shorter length will let you get a roll that accomplishes a crop but also looks good.

Finally. Got my hands on the Travis Scott Air Jordan 1. A shoe I wasn't crazy about, but Travis made dark brown super wearable. Largely thanks to the shoelace options. The pink laces bring everything together without doing too much.

The 2nd look is another one for the warmer weeks of fall & also features my own personal merch with a restock.

I absolutely love Mitchell & Ness shorts. I own several pair. The authentic pair has better quality & is more expensive, but to me it's worth it. They do not have pockets because, you know...they're authentic NBA shorts, but pairing them with a shoulder bag or fanny pack will be fine.

I was slow on the Jordan IV bandwagon. As noted in my November Sneaker Releases vlog, I bought a pair of Mars Blackmon IVs back in 2005-2006 & they looked huge on my feet. So when Jordan Brand announced they were retroing the classic Bred colorway, I passed. Being 6'5" in a lanky frame, we have to be mindful of the types of shoes we wear, it isn't just Balenciagas that would look like clown shoes on our feet. Come to find out, I bought those IVs a size bigger (for whatever reason) & IVs actually make my feet look smaller. Since then, these haven't left my feet. I absolutely love them & they're one of my favorite releases of the year.

Not gonna lie, I don't know much about Vetements, but I love these socks because they are made completely out of 3M. Super dope.

And I brought out my Losers Win crewneck from last year. Slightly oversized. Gray base. So the shorts ultimately shine, but it's a heavy crew so I'm well protected if the temperature decides to dip.

I decided to restock these crewnecks in November with a slight twist. There are two kinds of crews...a budget crew & a premium crew. I wanted to make my merch affordable for everyone, so I introduced the budget tier. Slightly cheaper & though the quality isn't the best, you can still be part of the family. The premium crewneck has a Champion base, so it's heavier. It's more expensive, but to me it's well worth the cost.

Fall 2019 Lookbook pt 1

This first look is for the earlier weeks of fall; some may call it an Indian Summer. It's warm in the day & cool in the evening. You can get a long sleeve & shorts off real nice.

I've always loved rugbys; the first person I saw rocking them was Grand Puba of Brand Nubian . KITH is one of my favorite brands as they combine simple aesthetics with collaborations with other brands & companies. They do a yearly collection with Coca Cola & this rugby is from the 2018 Summer campaign . Heavy D had the red Coca Cola sweater in the Mr. Big Stuff video , which is why I bought this one in particular, as a homage to the underrated rapper.

The shorts are from Gap . If you follow this channel, you know I absolutely love Gap, they have great quality, they make tall sizes (I'm 6'5") & they always have stuff on sale. These shorts were regular $60 & I got them for $25. They became a go to for me, as they were lightweight & made out of a linen material. They fit well & above the knee. Skies out, thighs out (these are the 10" shorts..the 6" would likely fit the same for a shorter person).

The shoes bring everything together. Nike collaborated with Japanese clothing brand Sacai & allowed them to remix the underrated Waffle model & they absolutely crushed it. Five pair have released so far & they are all amazing. This blue/red/gold combination was my favorite.

The Hey Arnold socks were purchased from Marshall's for $2. I typically don't do those types of stores; though they have value, they're just not for me. HOWEVER, these were a must have. Hey Arnold is the GOAT Nickelodeon cartoon, btw.
